Hello! Hello!
How's it going?
Documenting my journey in learning digital marketing has been exciting and helpful and has stretched me a lot and I have loved it so much so far.
Today I will be talking about the final topic in the digital marketing course and I will do a final summary of everything I have learnt in this course.
Taking your business internationally is a good step in expanding your market reach. To do this, you'll have to learn about the target market in the areas you are considering and find out how best to reach them.
First, you need to validate your new market. Here are a few tools that can help you do that;
- Google market finder: this tool can help you find keywords for your business in different countries. Once you find these countries, the next tool you'll need is...
- Google keyword planner: it helps you find out how much competition there is for search ads. This will help you know whether you're entering a market with little competition or an already crowded market.
- Web analytics: an example is google analytics. You can check whether people in other markets are already showing interest in your business.
After doing this, do proper research on these countries. Research their tax policies, exchange rates and other things that may affect your business being functional in these countries.
There are a few things to also consider when strategizing on going international;
- To know how well your website will do in the countries you have selected, research how their internet access is. Make sure everything on your site is easy to load so that your site visitors will not feel discouraged to use your site.
- Look into the supply chain and make sure the delivery to those countries is something you can do. Partner with an international shipping company that will help you handle the delivery.
- Research the tax and laws of the countries. Reach out to local government agencies for this.
- Make sure your website can easily translate into the languages and currencies of these countries as well.
