Today's post will be brief, it's a completion and summary of my last post. We will be talking about using the digital to reach the locals. As a business, it's important to make your business known to the people around your physical area as well as globally. I will be walking you through the steps you can take to make this happen.
As a business that wants to attract customers in your local area, there are three ways to go about it using SEM(Search Engine Marketing);
- tailor your marketing to show ads to people within a 10-mile distance from your physical shop
- display the ads during your opening hours
- tailor ads to people who live locally.
So, how can you help your website show up in local search results;
- let search engines know what you consider is local for you. Make sure your website has the basics like; your address, GPS location and phone number so your customers can reach you seamlessly.
- content on your platform is also very important. The more local content you add, the more search engines will identify your business as local and connect you with the right customers.
- don't forget that many searchers on the go are looking for local results on their smartphones, so your site must be mobile-friendly and easy to navigate.
So, these are the few tips that I learnt today I hope this was super helpful for your business.
